| FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The NEC VT560 projector at 2.9kg is very light and can still be transported easily between locations. The brightness of a projector determines how large an image can be displayed on screen and the audience size. All projectors on this site are designed for indoor use and cannot be used in direct sunlight. The NEC VT560 has 1300 ANSI lumens which is adiquate for use for audiences up to 40 people and can display a clear image in most rooms with the lights on and the blinds/curtains open. Depending on the size of projector screen you have in mind, the projector will need to be positioned a minimum distance away from the screen. Please request the manufacturers brochure if you have limited space to place the projector or considering using a ceiling mount kit. This projector is for use with computers that display a 1024x768 pixel image. You can check the resolution of your computer on a Windows computer by opening the Control Panel and double-clicking on the Display icon. Then click on the Settings tab. This projector can be used with video recorders, DVD players, video cameras, TV games consoles and other video sources. This projector does have built-in speakers but this gives limited volume sound only. If high quality or high volume sound is required then consider connecting to an amplified or surround sound system (home cinema or professional). For sound from computers, then you can use the existing computer speakers instead which is normally adequate for computer presentations. This projector has a lamp life of 2000 hours. The projector comes with a lamp installed but please note that replacement lamps usually cost between £300-£400+VAT for most projectors on the UK market. The lamp life of the NEC VT560 projector is average of most UK projectors. This projector is new and comes with a 3 year manufacturers swap-out warranty, excluding the lamp and excluding accidental damage. A swap out warranty means that the manufacturer will send you out a replacement and collect the faulty projector, usually next working day. This projector is supplied with all cables to connect to a PC notebook or desktop computer. If you will be using this with a Mac or UNIX workstation, then you may need to purchase additional cables. This machine is not supplied with video cables. Scart or S-Video cables can be purchased from local electronic goods stores such as Dixons or Curries for around £10 in the UK. This projector can be positioned close to a screen and still display a large image due to having a short throw lens fitted. Please see the manufacturers brochure for image sizes and the distances the projector can be away from the screen to produce them. |
