Elektor-Flex Crystal LED neon flex - per 1m in blue

Low voltage, low energy, Elektor-Flex is a flexible neon replacement which gives high, even brightness, making it ideal for the construction of stunning, eye catching signs, without the worries of high voltage and maintenance headaches of traditional neon signs. 72 LEDs per metre, 9.4 watts per metre, 24volts, life up to 100,000 hours.

Elektor-Flex is powered by Neo-Neon DC power supply units, sold separately. The type of power supply depends on the length of Elektor-Flex you require, so please contact our staff for advice if you need any assistance.

Elektor-Flex Crystal uses the same LED technology as Elektor-Flex but comes in a transparent crystal tube giving 16.7 million RGB DMX controllable colour changing.

Ekektor-Flex Crystal is ideal in subtler applications such as cove lighting or wall washes and is suitable for both interior and exterior linear lighting applications. Operating on 24V and consuming 2.88W per foot, Crystal emits little heat, requires minimum maintenance and an approx light life of up to 100,000 hours. It is encasulated in a purpose designed, white-walled, impact resistant jacket and is lightweight and weatherproof (weatherproof does not mean waterproof). Crystal can be cut, joined and easily shaped by hand, offering quick, low cost on-site installation.

Elektor-Flex Crystal safety instructions

Crystal tubes must only be cut on the indicated mark. Before connecting Crystal with connectors, bend the tube rightwards and leftwareds, cut extra copper wires as needed using the correct tools. Pay close attention to polarity, when connecting two pieces. Do not use Crystal if there is any damage on the encapsulating jacket or to its cord, inspect periodically. Do not submerge Crystal in liquids and do not secure on its cord with staples, nails or by any means which might damage the insulation, and do not subject it to continuous flexing.

When using Crystal outdoors always use proprietory external lighting products for termination boxes etc. Basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Residual Current Cirucit Breaker (RCD) protection should be provided on the circuit or outlet to be used for Elektor-Flex Crystal.

Elektor-Flex Crystal LED neon is available in a roll of up to 50m and can be cut to size and sold per metre in a choice of six colours, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, White and Blue. RoHS and WEEE compliant.

Power supply units

You will need a power supply unit (PSU) with Elektor-Flex (single colours):

50 Watt 24V DC switch mode power supply unit (SWS50W24) can run 12m of blue or white flex, or 7m of red, amber, yellow or green
75 Watt 24V DC switch mode power supply unit (SWS75W24) can run 18m of blue or white flex, or 10m of red, amber, yellow or green
100 Watt 24V DC switch mode power supply unit (SWS100W24) can run 25m of blue or white flex, or 14m of red, amber, yellow or green
150 Watt 24V DC switch mode power supply unit (SWS150W24) can run 37m of blue or white flex, or 21m of red, amber, yellow or green

Please note that the maximum run in one length is 40m, if you require longer lengths than you can run them off of the same power supply but they have to be separate.

300 watt and 600 watt power supply units are available, (SWS300W24) (SWS600W24), but please note if you do use a 600 Watt PSU you MUST split the load and MUST FUSE each section.

Other power supply units are available:

24V - 12 watt switch mode psu (SLS/PS/24/12) which runs 3m of blue or white flex, or 1m of red, amber, yellow or green.
24V - 24 watt switch mode psu (SLS/PS/24/24) which runs 6m of blue or white flex, or 3m of red, amber, yellow or green.
24V - 185 watt switch mode psu (SLS/24/225) which runs 46m of blue or white flex, or 26m of red, amber, yellow or green.

Please bear in mind 40m run is max you can run off a psu, if you require longer lengths than you can run them off of the same power supply but they have to be separate.
