Motic 53.003.161 objective 4X/0.10
Objective 4X / 0.10 for selected Motic microscopes, DM52.
Picture shows section of objective lenses for illustration purposes only.
Objective lenses
The main objective lenses are, 4x, 10x, 40x (spring loaded), retractable and 100x (oil immersion) retractable. Objective lenses will be engraved with magnification, numerical aperture, tube length and cover slip acceptable thickness.
Oil immersion objective - the 100x objective is lowered into a drop of immersion oil placed on the slide. Oil immersion lenses should be used in conjunction with an Abbe condenser. The oil is the same refractive index as the objective lens and cover slip.
Parcentered applies to each objective viewing, the same centre point in turn.
Parfocal is the ability ofthe microscope to stay in focus when the objectives are changed. Applies when high magnification to low magnification is selected.
Retractable objective - the high power objective lens is spring loaded and will retract protecting the prepared slide from damage.
Objective lens types
Achromatic objectives are standard objectives. Others are improvements, for example, ASC, which stands for Achromatic Superior Contrast, or Plan Achromatic. These terms refer to optical correction.
N.A. Numerical aperature - applies to objectives and condensers. This is a function of resolution.
Motic microscopes
Motic microscopes are sold worldwide into education, medical, research and other industries where microscopy is required. Motic pride themselves on quality and satisfaction.
