Interactive panels An interactive panel allows you to face your audience whilst you control, edit and annotate computer applications directly from the interactive panel. You simply connect the TFT panel to your desktop computer or laptop and a projector, and when you write on the panel, it is projected to the screen. As you are used to writing normally with a pen on paper, then using the cordless pen, you simply write or draw directly onto the screen in the same way. There is no keyboard or mouse to worry about, as the pen acts as the mouse. Using an interactive panel is very similar to using an interactive whiteboard, except the panels are usually 15", 17" or 18" in size. However the screen image can be projected through a multimedia projector to various sizes onto a projector screen, making it perfect for large auditoriums and lecture halls as well as smaller classrooms and training rooms. The screen normally has a small A-shaped stand so you can prop it up or lay it down flat on the desk. Portable, it is also ideal for training sessions, police, fire and ambulance emergency services and military establishments for training and briefing sessions or within universities and colleges. Can also be used with some video conferencing systems. Interactive graphics tablets are normally A5 size and lightweight. Wireless graphics tablets can be passed to individual members of the group session, so they can take control of the computer without leaving their seat. Normally only one user can draw or write on the screen at any one time. There are some tablet systems available that allow multiple users up to a specific number, for instance, 4, 8 or 12, to contribute to discussions at the same time. A6 USB graphics pads complement interactive whiteboards. Teachers can take the A6 USB pad home and plug it directly into their computers USB port. Using the whiteboard's graphic pad software template and the cordless pen, they can prepare work at leisure. Saved work is then transferred back to the whiteboard, via the USB port, in readiness for the next training or teaching session. Inexpensive USB pads can be used in schools, colleges and universities, freeing up whiteboards for their main function of delivering lessons, group presentations and training. When purchasing USB graphics pads it is advisable to choose the same manufacturer as your whiteboard to ensure compatibility. Some manufacturers pads allow up to 7 users to connect by wireless to the same PC. Interactive panels - current product range:
