Hitachi VerdICT 30 interactive voting system
VerdICT, from Hitachi, is a fully interactive handheld voting device that gives teachers the opportunity to ask the class in a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire style format. Students respond using infra-red handsets and VerdICT instantly marks and analyses answers. VerdICT 30 has 30 handheld devices.
Picture shows the voting system, handset and an interactive whiteboard. The whiteboard is NOT included in the system.
Picture shows the hand-held device and the question display projected onto an Hitachi Cambridge Board whiteboard. Teachers can project questions, exercises, quizzes, etc, onto a whiteboard, projection screen, monitor or TV screen. Students choose their answers on the handset, the infra-red receiver picks them up and stores them on a PC, where the answers are graded and analysed.
VerdICT can be operated from any point in the classroom and you can pause at any time to show live video, web pages or additional web content.
Interactive learning has been proven to increase attention span. VerdICT can be used for performance rating, to display multiple-choice questions, for end of lesson or course reviews, class surveys, voting quizzes and tests. As it marks and analyses answers this frees teachers from marking papers and compiling statistics.
Like other Hitachi interactive solutions, VerdICT is really easy to use, teachers can be up and running within minutes.
VerdICT has a simple ‘drag and drop’ interface and comes complete with a bank of 1,500 ready to use national curriculum questions, exercises and exam papers.
