Overhead projectorsSingle and triple lenses

Standard single element lens overhead projectors are fine for writing on acetate sheets or displaying text on screen. High definition overhead projectors have a triple element lens that is designed for displaying fine pictures or engineering diagrams. These are more slightly more expensive than standard overhead projectors.

Single and twin lamp projectors

Overhead projector lamps are inexpensive but only last around 50 hours. When a lamp blows it will need replacing. You need to let the projector cool down before doing this. If the lamp dies during a presentation or teaching session this would be inconvenient and disruptive. Twin lamp overhead projectors have two lamps installed with only one lamp being used at a time. If one lamp dies then a switch is thrown to turn on the second lamp.

Projector brightness

Projector brightness is measured in ANSI lumens. Standard overhead projectors are around 2200 ANSI lumens (250 watt) and are fine for normal classrooms. High brightness projectors are around 4200 ANSI lumens (400 watt) and are used in lecture theatres and other very large rooms.

Flatbed and portable projectors

Flatbed overhead projectors are designed to be portable so that the projector can easily be carried between venues. These are around 5kg to 7kg in weight and fold for easy transport. Some standard projectors just have a foldable arm to allow easier transport.

Payment options: bank transfer, cheque, debit card, credit card, 14 and 30 day credit accounts (see below). We do not charge a credit card surcharge.

Independent Products only deliver to the UK mainland. To place an order then please fax your purchase order to 01754 898910, including your invoice/delivery address, goods, delivery charge, total including VAT and method of payment. We are unable to take telephone orders.

If you are an educational establishment, government establishment, large registered charity or blue chip company and wish to pay by 14 or 30 day account please fax your official purchase order.

Please note that Independent Products only supply equipment to businesses, government bodies, educational establishments and charities.  We never sell to private individuals.

Please do not book installation of equipment before goods have arrived and have been fully tested. We accept no liability for installation or other cost occurred in the case of late delivery. Courier delays, manufacturer supply problems, etc, are beyond our responsible control.
